About the Artist
My name is John Hardesty, and my journey into digital art has been a fascinating combination of childhood love and academic pursuits. As an Economics major, my career concentration may appear to be far removed from art, yet my passion for sketching and creating has remained a constant throughout my life.
My artistic path began in my childhood, when I would spend countless hours drawing and painting. This early exposure to art provided a solid basis for my artistic impulses, which have evolved throughout time. While I have limited experience with digital art, the wonderful artists I've encountered on websites like Drool Art have had a significant impact on my interest in the medium. Their unique methods and different styles motivate me to learn and experiment with digital technology.
My most recent piece of art was a black and white drawing of a cowboy on a horse with a pistol in the air. I took a different approach and added red to splatter, like blood, towards the tip of the gun. This hint of red is the only stand out color in the painting which is something that I am currently into.
Despite my academic background, I approach art with curiosity and experimentation. My work frequently combines ancient techniques with contemporary digital aesthetics, attempting to express both personal and global themes. I want to produce pieces that are both contemplative and interesting, giving audiences a new viewpoint via the prism of digital media.
I'm motivated by a desire to transmit ideas and feelings that touch people on a deeper level, and I'm eager to learn new approaches and viewpoints to improve my work.
My interest for painting stems from the ability to combine creativity and logical thought to create creations that are both visually appealing and meaningful. I'm excited to continue developing as an artist and sharing my expanding perspective with the world.
